Coccinea
Banksia coccinea
Banksia coccinea is a striking plant that dazzles with its scarlet flowers and velvety leaves. The flowers resemble fiery torches with long red pistils and grey petals that contrast with the dark green foliage. It grows on the south coast of Western Australia, where it thrives on sandy soils and cool breezes. What makes our Coccinea special is that they are all cutting grown, and all come from a single selection – this results in consistency, earlier flowering and longer stems.
