Hand-forged in the traditional Aomori style, the Niwaki Joppari Secateurs are crafted from premium KA-70 Carbon Steel for exceptional sharpness, durability and long-lasting performance. Designed with orchard pruning and repetitive daily use in mind, they deliver clean, precise cuts with outstanding comfort and control.

Featuring a compact, ergonomic design that fits snugly in the hand, these secateurs are equipped with a double-spring cushioning system to reduce fatigue during extended pruning sessions. Ideal for fruit trees, shrubs and general garden maintenance, they combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with practical everyday functionality.

Care Instructions

To prevent rust from developing, we advise that you wipe dry and apply Camellia Oil after use.

Sharpening after a period of use is advised to ensure your tools stay in good condition.
We recommend using the Niwaki Sharpening Stone #1000 as it’s best for general sharpening.

Tips:
• Do not cut wire, metal, stone, plastic or any other hard material.
• Use the base of the blades, not the tips, for heavier cuts.
• Remove leaf resin, rust and gunk with a Crean Mate and water.
• Dry, wipe over with Camellia Oil and store in a dry place.
• Sharpen Secateurs every couple of weeks.
